At First Blush

This look comes together with a smooth, glowing skin and soft, feathery curls with a touch of sophistication. The flowing skirt and cropped sweater shrug make this a comfortable, yet alluring outfit for a first date or a late Sunday stroll.

The skin is from Splendilicious Skins [SLurl: Jodis] (also [SLurl: Sadistik].  It's a paler tone than I normally wear, but I really like the effect with the softly dramatic eye makeup and velvet lip color.  This particular makeup is the "Ionic Skin 1" in MU10.  "Ionic" skins cost $L500 apiece; $L5,000 is the fatpack cost, which will get you an entire set (12 skins) of any of the "Ionic" skins (1-3).

Once again I am wearing a hair from Truth [SLurl: Truth Island], a store I just found in the last couple of months but is quickly becoming a new favorite.  This lovely hair, with its soft, bouncy curls and pinned bangs, is called "Gogo" in the shade Espresso.  Truth hairs are reasonably priced at $L225 a color pack, which includes 4 shades; available are Light Blondes, Blondes, Dark Blondes, Gingers, Light Browns, Browns, Dark Browns, and Red.  The Blacks & Whites pack has 5 hairs but still only costs $L225.  The Buy All option will get you all of a particular hair in every color for $L1,500.  There is also the Colours pack - your non-standard pinks and blues - which includes 9 hairs for $L300.

The nails are, once again, from my favorite virtual "salon", Candy Nail [SLurl: Candy nail].  I am wearing the "#P000 Basic Prim Nails" in Red10.  There are over a hundred available colors (110 to be exact), and each set comes with prim nails for three hand-sizes (10, 20, and 30) and a colorable "glove" to match your skin tone.  Each color set is only $L70.

The adorable shrug comes from LaLa FooFoo [SLurl: Celestial City] and is called "Button Shrug".  Available in colors Moss, Cocoa, Autumn (worn), Magenta, Regal, and Cobalt, the shrug sweaters cost only $L50/each or $L150 for the fatpack.  Each comes with a shirt and jacket layer.

The tank is the "Yx" top from Curious Kitties [SLurl: Curious Kitties] in Black.  You can see what the top - with all its attachments & fixings - should look like here.  It's quite an adorable, little top with ribbons and this outfit, unfortunately, does not do it justice.  The top, available in 8 different colors, sell for $L200/each.

The ebb and flow of this skirt as you move around is simply lovely.  It is the aptly named "Long Black Velvet Skirt" from the .2811. collection at PixelDolls [SLurl: Port Seraphine] in the Separates section.  The skirts sell for $L99/apiece.

Once again I chose the strappy, flirty "Grace" heels from Maitreya [SLurl: Maitreya Isle], worn here in Black.  These adorable heels sell for $L250/pair or $L600 for the fatpack.

There are a number of different eye- and sunglasses available at Nico Creations [SLurl: Nico Island] - costing $L50 a pair - but you would do better getting the menu-driven glasses for $L150.  With a click, these can be customized with a variety of choices; including, 4 different frames, lens tint, bling, and color.

Hey Isadora! My name is Jacquie, and I googled cropped sweater shrugs hoping to find a uniquely hip shrug to replace an old one I had forever and loved, but unfortunately lost a few years back. I was wondering, are your clothes purely fictional, or can I find that cute buttoned-down shrug to purchase for my own wardrobe?
Please let me know, and thank you for your time. Wicked style you've got there,
xoxo

Hi, Jacquie! Thanks so much for commenting & for the compliment. You totally made my day.

All of the outfits here exist in the virtual world of Second Life. I am sure some of them are based on actual clothes, but you would have to ask the individual designer/creator to be sure.

If you'd like to get them in-world, I have links to all of the places I bought each item and how much it cost. Hopefully this will help.

Thanks again!
